1. DO NOT CUT DIRTY HAIR.
If you do not wash hair before cutting, the tiny stones (like quartz) on the dirty hair will damage the scissors.
2. DO NOT CUT TOO MUCH HAIR WITH ONE CUT.
Too much hair between the blades will cause lots of pressure to the scissors. It will shorten the lifetime of the scissors.
3. KEEP THE BLADES IN CLOSED POSITION
Put the scissors in a scissors bag when you don't use it.
4. CLEAN THE SCISSORS AND DO THE MAINTENANCE.
(1) Remove the loose hair first. Use a soft leather to clean the dirt from the scissors.
(2) Drop the oil on the pivot and the inside of the blades.
(3) Adjust the tension of the scissors. If you think the scissors are blunt, it might be the tension problem. Learn how to check it by yourself and adjust the tension.
How do I know if the tension is too loose?
Hold the scissors vertically by your left hand and use your right hand to raise the right handle to 3 o'clock (position). And then just let go. If the blades close completely, it means the tension is too loose. A half is good.
